Piano Lessons for Young Beginners
We follow the Piano Adventures piano book for young beginners (ages 5 - 11). The first lesson will introduce the student to proper posture at the piano, finger names, and note names on the bass and treble clefs. Students will be able to play their very first song after just one lesson!

The idea that piano cannot be learned as an adult is an outdated one. There are many advantages to learning piano as a mature beginner, such as the discipline to adhere to practice times. In fact, our adult students can outpace the learning curve of younger students under the right guidance and practice regimen.

Our Piano Philosophy
At Brampton Piano Studio, we believe teaching students proper piano techniques in the early stages of their piano journey is essential to fostering their growth as a pianist. We give lessons on an acoustic grand piano in our private teacher studio, which allows students to develop the touch and technique required to achieve proper tone, colour, and texture.

Students learn note naming on the bass clef and treble clef, identifying keys on the piano, and proper fingering techniques.
RCM Levels 1 - 4 -
Students continue developing their piano techniques, with a focus on dynamics and textures. Introduction to the concept of phrasing in classical music, with a focus on rubato and directionality.
RCM Levels 5 - 8 -
Students learn how to interpret the score and play according to the composer’s markings. Students are expected to achieve the right tone and colours to highlight different parts of the score (beginning, climax, and ending of the pieces), by using skills acquired from previous levels. Students also explore voicing in piano.
